Welcome to sulfurproject.com. PCS Phosphate Company, Inc. (PotashCorp-Aurora) has 1,100 employees and up to 1,000 contractors at its facility in Aurora. These jobs and our business are dependent upon our ability to obtain a reliable supply of sulfur, which is an essential raw material used in our production process. To this end, we are exploring a number of options. In all cases, we will ensure we are a good neighbor.

Project options include:
  • Building a sulfur handling and melting operation at one of several ports in states adjacent to
    North Carolina.
  • Building a suitable facility outside the U.S. to handle formed solid sulfur and melting.
The purpose of this website is to help the general public understand sulfur and sulfur operations. Also, we will show you photos and video of a port city, reliant on the tourism industry that includes sulfur operations in close proximity to homes, restaurants, and tourist attractions.
